Castello di Fiemme

A typical mountain village of ancient construction, Castello di Fiemme stands in a spacious, sunny, grassy hollow known for its dry, healthy climate.

The village takes its name from the medieval castle that once dominated the settlement, destroyed in 1296 and replaced today by the 19th-century parish church of San Giorgio. In the middle of the village, you can see the picturesque “Roman houses” – four medieval buildings that bear witness to the valley's ancient history – and numerous rustic-stately homes with wooden staircases and sacred fresco decorations. Nearby, Doss Zelòr and the Brozin Biotope offer nature trails through flower-filled meadows and pine forests, ideal for scenic walks and moments of true relaxation.
